No Red Dead Redemption 2 Decal or Design Though
Sony has announced a Red Dead Redemption 2 PS4 Pro Bundle that will launch on October 26th, the same day as the highly-anticipated open-world game.
Honestly speaking, the bundle is a bit disappointing especially when comparing it to last month’s kickass Spider-Man red console. There’s no special custom Red Dead Redemption 2 decal or colour. Instead, you get a 1TB Jet Black system, a single DualShock 4 wireless controller and a copy of Rockstar’s open-world Western on a physical Blu-ray disc. While it’s understandable that not every PS4 Pro Bundle can boast a fancy new colour or design, it feels particularly disappointing when we’re dealing with arguably the biggest game of 2018.
Retail price is standard stuff too with a cost of $399.99 USD and $499.99 CAN. Pre-orders also start today. If that bundle doesn’t float your boat, there will also be a bundle with the standard 1TB PS4 Slim console instead. Over in the UK, there will also be a 500GB model available for purchase.
Sony is touting the 4K and HDR features of its Pro console as the ideal way to experience Red Dead 2. Even if you don’t own a 4K TV, the console’s built-in Supersampling Mode does a fantastic job in optimizing image quality for 1080p displays. It will be interesting to see whether Microsoft will release Xbox One bundles for the game as well leading up to its release. In any case, we’re positive the game will look incredible no matter how you decide to play.
