PlayStation 4 File Size For NBA 2K19 Revealed
A few days ago, we told you how NBA 2K19 will have several restrictions in place when it comes to the usage of lootboxes in Belgium & the Netherlands. You can read about that here. Today, we learned just how big NBA 2K19 will be and needless to say, you’ll need to make some room.
The file size has been revealed for the PlayStation 4 version and you can see it on the PlayStation store page. When viewed directly on the console, the product page on the PlayStation Store shows that the basketball game will be taking up 48.56 GB of free space on the hard disk drive of the home console.
That is a pretty massive file size, so unless you have an external hard drive or a PS4 with lots of room, many of you will need to make some room.
As usual, 2K Sports will be releasing the upcoming title as a physical and digital game. You can preorder this year’s installment of the NBA 2K franchise with this link from Amazon.
Also, as an FYI, NBA 2K19 has just released the Prelude – the first chapter of NBA 2K19’s MyCAREER mode. 2K19’s MyCAREER features an all-new narrative and cast including performances by actors Anthony Mackie (Avengers, Altered Carbon), Haley Joel Osment (The Sixth Sense, Silicon Valley), Michael Rapaport (Atypical, White Famous), Aldis Hodge (Straight Outta Compton, Hidden Figures), Rob Huebel (Transparent, Bob’s Burgers) and more.
The Prelude begins with you at the center of the experience of a hoops player with NBA dreams working to succeed in the Chinese Basketball League. As you develop your skills and gain recognition in China, the opportunity to return stateside comes when you receive an invitation to play in the G League. Through hard work and perseverance, your chance to play on the mainstage in the NBA comes late in the season when a roster spot opens up.
Players who download the Prelude beginning Today will have the opportunity to play the first chapter of “The Way Back” for free, in advance of NBA 2K19’s launch.
The 20th Anniversary Edition of NBA 2K19 will be released for the PlayStation 4 (as well as the Nintendo Switch, PC and Xbox One) on the 7th of September in the North American region. The standard edition of the basketball game will be coming out four days later on the 11th of September.
