Fortnite Season 6 Kicks off on September 27; 400% XP Weekend Announced

Epic Games Reveals Team-Based Event

By the end of this month, we shall see the next season of a game that’s still technically in Early Access? Either way, Fans have more rewards and kills to rake up in Fortnite: Battle Royale.

Epic Games will launch Season 6 of their hugely popular battle royale on September 27th. The developer announced as much over on Twitter, on top of a bonus. If you’re looking forward a boost in the realm of XP, then the weekend prior will deliver that very opportunity. Starting on September 24th at 8 AM ET, anyone can log in and exploit the huge 400% XP bonus. You read that right – a 400% bonus XP will be available to every battle-building sicko on the game servers. If you weren’t addicted, you will be soon.

The XP boost for Fortnite: Battle Royale may be Epic’s way of celebrating nearly 80 million players. On their official website, the developer revealed that 78.3 million players showed up to play Fortnite: Battle Royale, which is monumental. It’s probably only a matter of time before they exceed that number, at least if Call of Duty: Black Ops IV doesn’t interfere. The “Fall Skirmish,” as the new Season is called, may maintain a respectable player count.

For the Fall Skirmish, players will be divided into five Clubs that shall compete across various PvP formats to earn points. By the end of the season, Epic will tally the numbers and decide who’s worthy of some unprecedented rewards, presumably. We expect to learn more during the month of October.

Will you be participating in Season 6 of Fortnite: Battle Royale? What about the XP weekend? Feel free to comment down below.
