Portable Demon Slaying, You Guys
As someone with a healthy appetite for ARPGs, I’m always happy to see more of them available for as many people as possible. Wired Productions shares this enthusiasm, as Victor Vran: Overkill Edition is available now on the Nintendo Switch. Between this and Diablo 3, ARPG fans have a lot to sink their teeth into on Nintendo’s hot little handheld hybrid.
Admittedly, I’ve never played anything in the Victor Vran series. I’m unclear as to why, though. The franchise boasts a blend of cool settings, monsters and powers that normally tick most of the boxes, so to speak. This seems like a prime opportunity to get into the series.
On top of that the Overkill Edition comes with two expansions. One, Fractured Worlds, is a new chapter that expands the story. The other expansion is a celebration of Motorhead and their music. I don’t claim to understand the connection here, but I’m sure that Haemimont Games does a bang-up tribute to the legendary metal band. The Overkill Edition comes with a physical collector’s edition as well, if you’re especially keen on the Motorhead connection.
