Lara’s Upped Her Stealth Game in Shadow of the Tomb Raider
With just over a month until Shadow of the Tomb Raider graces our television sets, Square Enix has dropped a short but sweet trailer that teases some of the new stealth combat players can expect to see in Lara’s new game.
Based on the brief video, Lara’s combat tactics have grown significantly from her past adventures. Now she can cover herself in mud for camouflage, sneak alongside wall flora, pounce on baddies from above, and — the coolest of all — rappel from a tree for a deadly takedown.
“Become one with the jungle in Shadow of the Tomb Raider, with a new range of guerrilla tactics,” the trailer’s description reads. “Strike suddenly and disappear like a jaguar, use mud as camouflage, and instil fear in enemies to sow chaos.”
Square Enix has released several other videos recently showing off the huge and beautiful in-game world and massive tombs Lara will get to explore this time around. However, another video shows just how dangerous these areas can be to traverse. You can check out these three videos at the bottom of this news article.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider has a release date of September 14th, 2018 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Pre-ordering the Digital Deluxe or Croft Editions of the game will allow players to play the game 48 hours before its full release. An official announcement last month also revealed that the game has gone gold.
