Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden, the tactical adventure game, has been given a release date of December 4th, 2018. It will launch simultaneously on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. A release date trailer can be viewed below.
Developed by Swedish developer The Bearded Ladies, Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden blends XCOM-inspired turn-based combat with real-time stealth and exploration in a bleak apocalyptic scenario. The game was announced earlier this year with a teaser trailer featuring three protagonists including “a crossbow-wielding, bipedal, and unusually sassy duck.”
Pre-orders for the PC version of Mutant Year Zero can be made on buy.mutantyearzero.com. Two versions are available for purchase, a Standard Edition ($34.99) and a Deluxe Edition ($54.99). The Deluxe Edition comes with a bunch of goodies including desktop wallpaper, digital art book, digital soundtrack, and a digital copy of the Mutant Year Zero pen-and-paper RPG book. Pre-ordering either version will allow you to play the game three days earlier but the Deluxe Edition will also grant Beta access.
The game will also be at Gamescom this year. In celebration of its release date announcement, pre-orders on both editions are 15% off. Just enter the code GAMESCOM2018 at checkout to receive the discount.
