Master Chief Collection Coming to Xbox Game Pass With Major Improvements

Master Chief’s Entire Series of Adventures Soon Playable on Game Pass

During today’s Gamescom special of Inside Xbox, Major Nelson announced that the Master Chief Collection would be making it’s way to Xbox One‘s Game Pass subscription service, alongside a bevy of long-awaited improvements.

The Master Chief Collection will join the Game Pass catalog on September 1st, along with an update that will implement 4K, HDR, 60 frames-per-second visuals, as well as faster load times and improved matchmaking. 343 also relayed the message that more improvements will be coming to the compilation in the future, including a custom game browser.

Launched back in 2014, the Master Chief Collection includes the 4 main series Halo titles, as well as full remasters of Combat Evolved and Halo 2, though 5 is also available on Game Pass. It includes the series entire multiplayer legacy, and a remastered version of ODST is available as an add-on for $4.99 USD.
