The First Episode Launches August 14th
Telltale Games has dropped a fresh, live gameplay demo of The Walking Dead: The Final Season which details the first 15 fifteen minutes of episode one.
It’s obvious from the start that Telltale’s conclusion to their Walking Dead franchise is going big. The new engine is in full play here, as well as the refreshed art style and new over-the-shoulder camera. Fan favourite Clementine, once again, makes her return alongside her new young companion, AJ.
The gameplay demo made its debut at San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend. Make sure you get cozy before watching the lengthy tease below:
“Clementine, now a fierce and capable survivor, has reached the final chapter in her journey,” writes Telltale in the official press release. “After years on the road facing threats both living and dead, a secluded school might finally be her chance for a home. But protecting it will mean sacrifice. Clem must build a life and become a leader while still watching over AJ, an orphaned boy and the closest thing to family she has left. In this gripping, emotional final season, you will define your relationships, fight the undead, and determine how Clementine’s story ends.”
The first episode of The Final Season will be available for download on August 14th on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. A Switch version is also expected to come out later this year. The full season (which is comprised of four episodes) can be pre-ordered right now for only $19.99 USD.
For those that pre-order on PS4 and Xbox One will receive a download code for The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series Collection which gathers all 19 episodes of the series in a single package. Not a bad deal!
