The Nintendo Switch eShop Gets a Small Makeover

Switch eShop Now With Better Game Discovery For Everyone

The Nintendo Switch eShop has been updated with a few new features and quality of life improvements. The new changes are designed to make game discovery a bit easier for Switch users.

Switch Store Updated

If you go into the Switch eShop, you’ll notice a new Featured tab that displays 30 popular and new games in much bigger images. This should be helpful for discovering new Switch games or even rediscovering some old ones that are no longer on the charts. Additionally, the ‘Games on Sale’ tab has now been renamed to ‘Great Deals.’ Nothing else has changed in this section and is pretty self-explanatory.

The ‘Best Sellers’ tab now has the ability to switch between ‘All Games’ and ‘Download-Only Games’ by simply pressing the L and R buttons. This is a small but nice change in order to highlight digital-only games that launch on the eShop.

Better discovery on the Switch eShop has been a long time coming for both gamers and developers. Nintendo had previously said back in March that they were going to make changes to the storefront before the catalogue became too cluttered. With over 800 games now on the store, we’re hoping the new changes will give lesser-known games a bit of the spotlight.

Now, all we need is some nice shopping music, right Nintendo? Make it happen!
