Looks Like The Environment Will Fight Back in Just Cause 4
A handful of Just Cause 4 recently leaked, throwing fire on the gasoline of the innumerous E3 leaks over the past week, including what looks to be the game’s official box art on Steam earlier this week. The photos were compiled by a Reddit user named, um, throwawaythenipples, after digging them up on German gaming website GamePro.
From the look of these screenshots and what seems to be the official box art, the sequel will take on a darker, grittier tone than the sunshine lavished setting the series is familiar with. Our boy Rico is gonna have his hands as full as ever with helicopters, fighter jets, and technologically advanced super-soldiers on his ass, and from the look of that tornado, the environment itself will be looking to exact revenge for all of the destruction its suffered over the past 3 games. The box art indicates that the storms will be unbiased though, as we can see a tornado totally wrecking what looks like a commercial airliner. Rico’s fancy new wingsuit may even work against him in his attempts to escape danger this time around.
Of course, the game has yet to be announced but it’s safe to expect a reveal during either today’s Microsoft conference or tomorrow’s Square Enix show, the company’s first in three years.
