Ubisoft Confirms Assassin’s Creed Odyssey with a Quick Sneak Peek

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Has Been Confirmed

Earlier today, in a move similar to all of the leaks we had before the official announcement for AC Origins, a picture of a keyring was leaked complete with the name of the next title in the franchise: Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. As the excitement over the leak got many fans pumped for a reveal, Ubisoft has officially confirmed that it’s true!

Assassin's Creed: Origins

So Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is indeed the next game in the long standing and hugely popular franchise and while the confirmation of the game was already enough to get jazzed about, Ubisoft confirmed the leak in the best way possible. How you ask? With a very, and I do mean very, quick snippet of gameplay of a Spartan looking warrior kicking an opponent off the side of a cliff in epic fashion. You can check it out from their official Twitter account below.

In addition to this sweet sneak peek, Ubisoft also confirmed the name and logo, rounding it out with the message, “See you at E3!” This means that we can expect a much bigger announcement, with a whole bunch more details. Though the rumors are flying that Odyssey will be set in Greece, what with the similarity of the sneak peek to that of the movie 300, and the logo seemingly similar to that of a Corinthian helmet historically worn by Greek soldiers, so far Ubisoft has been pretty tight lipped about it.  It seems they may be holding out on this big detail until their big presentation at E3 2018. Who knows, maybe even some gameplay out on the floor for everyone to get their hands on? It’s too early to tell at this point, but there’s no harm in wishing, right?

Are you happy to see Odyssey as the latest Assassin’s Creed game? What are you hoping Ubisoft will reveal at E3 about it? Let us know in the comments below and keep it locked for updates!
