Rockstar Is Implementing Discounts Alongside Extra Cash Earnings
GTA Online is dishing out the extra rewards this Memorial day—well in the days leading up to Memorial days. Starting today, you can earn double cash and Reputation for your time in certain activities, and there is a variety. Let’s start listing them off.
For starters, GTA Online will deliver double rewards for participation in Motor Wars: “Parachute your way into an ever-shrinking arena armed with only the most basic of survival tools, then fight for your life as the clock slowly forces you and your enemies closer together.” It’s a last-team-standing match, with your key to victory arriving in the form of miniguns and weaponized vehicles. Over-the-top weapons are the name of the game, and the best prize is reserved for last.
Additionally, there’s Bikers: “Approach the Contracts Wall in your Clubhouse as an MC President to launch a variety of nefarious activities via Clubhouse Contracts. Earn some tidy GTA$ & RP as you liberate the wrongfully convicted in “Jailbreak”, or provide your own brand of security detail to the less-fortunate in “Guns For Hire”. You can also make some extra green this week with Biker Work and Challenges, which will see you and your kin competing to hold the longest Wheelie, jousting each other in a petroleum-soaked rage or bounty hunting across the map for more than just bragging rights.”
We’re not done, however. You and your friends, as well as your enemies, can earn that extra cash and Reputation through Free-mode as a VIP. Head Hunter and Ramped Up will offer you the opportunity to dispatch opponents as a Big-Wig looking out for no.1.
Finally, the double rewards will extend to the latest online game mode, Trap Door. It’s the 16-player PvP match that pits teams of four against one another. Essentially, it amounts to GTA Online’s miniature version of a battle royale. Similar to Motor Wars, the map adheres to a ticking clock that makes the world shrink, and the game ends with the last team in the center.
Of course, we can’t skip mention of the discounts available. A ton of vehicles built for land, sea, and air have had their prices temporarily slashed. Examples are listed from the official press release, available to view below.
