Madden NFL 19 Announced, Gameplay Detailed
Earlier today Electronic Arts announced that the nineteenth title in a long standing football franchise, Madden NFL, will be drop in just a few months. Today the publisher gave fans a look at Madden NFL 19 with some important gameplay details and a release date.
Madden NFL 19 will be released on August 10th for both the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. So what can fans expect from the newest title in the franchise? Here’s what the Senior Producer of the game, Carlos Guerrero, had to say on the matter: “We’ve worked directly with community members on Madden NFL 19 to make a deeper, more immersive football game that gives players what they want – more choice, more control, and key enhancements to fan-favorite modes. Real Player Motion technology combined with all new franchise-building tools like Positional Archetypes and the return of Custom Draft Classes are features that football fans will find fun and engaging. Madden NFL 19 steps up the authentic football experience in so many ways.”
In addition to this added precision and better animations, EA revealed that both Franchise and Ultimate Team have been reworked. Franchise Mode will not allow players to choose between offensive and defensive schemes, something that will work well with a brand new progression system for coaches too. In Franchise players will also be able to customize their teams with new and old players alike with the Custom Draft Class Creator. In the world of Ultimate Team, there are new training tools which mean players have the option to develop their favorite characters with new player upgrades. Of course, it wouldn’t feel entirely revamped without a new game mode, so EA has also added MUT Solo Battles where players can try their hand at various challenges to get on a leaderboard.
Though we didn’t get a look at the standard box art, EA did showcase the Madden NFL 19 Hall of Fame Edition featuring Terrell Owens on the cover who is a Hall of Fame Inductee himself. The publisher also revealed the pre-order bonuses. If you pre-order the Standard Edition you will receive the choice of one Elite Player from your favorite NFL team, and five Gold Team Fantasy Packs. If you pre-order the Hall of Fame Edition you’ll receive all of that and more including the choice of five Elite Hall of Fame Legends in MUT, one Training Pack, and seven more Gold Team Fantasy Packs. Oh, and you’ll have access to the game three days before release, on August 7th. And of course, if you’re a member of EA Access you’ll receive some more perks, including 10 percent off the game when you pre-order, as well as access to the game even earlier on August 2nd!
Following the success that they had with their Longshot story mode last year, it will be interesting to whether they bring it back, so far there’s no word on whether this is happening or not. Watch out for the first trailer and hopefully some more information at E3 2018. What are you hoping to see from Madden NFL 19? Let us know in the comments below and keep it locked for updates!
