Several Classic Titles Now Available to Play on Xbox One Via Backward Compatibility
Earlier this month Microsoft announced they would be adding several awesome original Xbox games to the Xbox One via backward compatibility in April. Well, after what may have felt like the longest week ever, the second batch of these titles are available to play on the newest generation console.
Just over a week ago the first batch of backward compatible titles made their way to the Xbox One this month, including SSX 3 and Conker: Live & Reloaded, and now the second batch have officially arrived! This means that you can play a few long lost Star Wars titles in spectacular fashion, with buffed up graphics. There are five Star Wars titles to choose from, as well as five other Xbox Original games, one of which you can only get if you live in Europe. You can check out the full list below.
- Star Wars Battlefront
- Star Wars Battlefront II (The Original)
- Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy II
- Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter
- Star Wars: Republic Commando
- Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords
- Destroy All Humans!
- Full Spectrum Warrior
- MX Unleashed
- Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction
- Panzer Elite Action (Europe only)
Like all the times before, if you still own these Original Xbox games you can just pop them into your Xbox One and start playing. If you never imagined something like the Backward Compatibility program would exist and you’ve since rid yourself of the classic games, you can purchase each of them again digitally in the Xbox Store for $9.99.
