“Serious” Fans Can Wishlist the Game on Steam Right Now
Croteam and Devolver Digital have properly announced Serious Sam 4: Planet Badass with an equally badass teaser trailer.
The teaser trailer was revealed at the Reboot Develop conference in Dubrovnik, Croatia this morning. You can check it out for yourself below.
The trailer is short but sweet (and badass). According to IGN, the footage appears to be from an in-game engine (there is a graphical glitch on the flowers at the 17-second mark). There is also some speculation that the trailer may be suggesting that Serious Sam 4 will take an open-world approach this time around. The final shot of Sam driving straight into a horde of monsters may suggest that players will be able to take down baddies while on Sam’s hog. Badass indeed!
The logo also depicts Sam flanked by eight silhouetted figures which could mean that there will be multiple playable characters or some form of multiplayer component. This is, of course, pure speculation based on a one minute trailer.
The developer/publisher duo are planning a full game reveal in June during E3. Right now, fans can wishlist the game on Steam in order to receive updates from the teams.
Serious Sam 4 was first revealed to be in development back in 2013 and was partially funded by Humble Bundle proceeds.
