The Upcoming RPG Is Getting a Lot of Post-Launch Support!
Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire, a fantasy isometric RPG being developed by Obsidian Entertainment, is getting three DLC packs after the base game launches on May 8th for the PC, Linux and Mac.
The first DLC, titled “Beast Of Winter”, is expected to come out in July and involves the player and their party traveling to an island that is populated by a secretive doomsday cult. Players will also get to explore a new dimension called “The Beyond”.
The second DLC, “Seeker, Slayer, Survivor”, is scheduled to release in September and is described as “a combat-focused expansion” that takes place on another island. Players will take only highly-skilled enemies and will also have to recover ancient relics.
The third planned DLC, titled “The Forgotten Sanctum”, is releasing in November and involves aiding (or obstructing) a group of wizards. The choices players make in this DLC are said to have a major impact on the game world.
All the DLC can be purchased individually when they launch for $9.99 each. There is also season pass for Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire that costs $24.99. The base game is currently available for pre-order on Steam and costs $49.99.
The console versions of the game are being handled by a developer called Red Cerberus.
Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire is coming out for the PC, Mac and Linux on May 8th. The PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch versions are planned to release later this year.
