Billions of rounds later, developer New World Interactive is inviting players to experience their high-octane WWII shooter at no cost. Day of Infamy is going free-to-play this weekend on Steam, which means players can take on a new campaign set in the war-torn fields of Europe.
Steam’s free weekend for Day of Infamy starts today, April 26 1 PM EDT, and it ends on April 30th. During the free weekend interval, the game shall be available to newcomers at a steep discount of 70% off. That’s $5.99 in total. And as a reward for long-time players, as well as a means to give newcomers a quick start, there will be a triple XP boost. Players that are new to Day of Infamy can expect to experience hardcore World War II first-person shooter combat in both player versus player and cooperative game modes, with an emphasis on teamwork-oriented objectives and high-lethality gunplay. Call in fire support, secure objectives, and push the line forward using more than 60 iconic WWII weapons, nine specialized player classes and 33 historic units of the US Army, British Commonwealth, and German Wehrmacht.
