It’s time once again for the Blood Bowl 2 World Cup! Qualifiers start more or less immediately, giving you a fighting chance at claiming this year’s top prize of money, games and sweet gear. When I say immediately, I mean April 4th. It’s tournament time!
Curious players can register for the tournament here. You qualify for the tournament by either climbing the Official Cabalvision Champion ladders, or by winning your way through one of the many private leagues in operation. Succeeding in the qualifiers means you’ve earned a spot in the 64-person World Cup! In addition to these open qualifiers, there will be an Invitational Cup being broadcast on Twitch. If nothing else, those should be some exciting pre-tournament matches.
So what’s being offered in terms of prizes? Well, aside from the $10,000 cash prize pool, there will be two custom gaming rigs from Republic of Gamers and a collection of Warhammer video games. The total value of this prize is around $30,000, meaning that those computers are going to be absolutely loaded with premium parts. Good luck, and may the field run red with the squishy bits of your fallen enemies.
