A Way Out Takes the 2nd Spot!
Sea of Thieves, an open-world first-person multiplayer game where players can play together as a pirate crew, debuted at the top spot on the UK sales charts last week. The anticipated pirate game was developed by Rare and was released last week on March 20th.
Also, A Way Out, the online co-op game where two players play as two escaped prisoners, took the 2nd spot on the UK sales charts. COGconnected reviewed the game last week and awarded it a score of 82 out of 100.
“A Way Out is creative and thoughtful, which is exactly what you want to see from a linear and narrative based story,” wrote our reviewer, Erin Castillo. “Unfortunately, there are a few things that stand in the way of the game reaching its true potential, specifically a complete lack of consequences, as well as a few dialogue issues.”
“Other than that, there isn’t exactly a lot to get disappointed over, as the game is exactly what it was promised to be and then some,” she continued. “Overall, Hazelight Studios really nails what it means to make a good cooperative narrative-based game that will have you wanting to dive back into the thick of it every time.”
Additionally, Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, an open world JRPG, debuted at the third spot on the charts. Read our glowing review of the game if you want to find out more!
Notably, there’s one surprising thing to see on last week’s sales charts: Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered debuted at the 4th spot! The current gen remaster of a somewhat obscure Assassin’s Creed entry has received decent reviews and only costs $29.99.
If you didn’t play this game when it came out due to Assassin’s Creed Unity taking up all your attention at the time then this remaster could hold you over until the next Assassin’s Creed game (which is rumored to be set in ancient Greece) comes out.
