Presenting Hellblade in New 4K
By this point, much of the world has accepted the acclaimed status of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. Many sales and awards later, developer/publisher Ninja theory is bringing the game to Xbox One X. Today, we know how it will look.
Prior to the release of Hellblade, no one imagined that the debilitations of schizophrenia could be represented through Celtic mythology. But here we are a year later, and the game has actually introduced many new people to the world of mental illness. Now, the same will available to Xbox One owners. On the Xbox One X, you can witness unparalleled visuals as made possible by the Unreal Engine.
Here is the first footage of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice captured on the Xbox One X.
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice will be making its way to the Xbox One family of consoles on April 11, 2018. I suspect it will be purchasable for the original price of $29.99. Xbox One X owners will benefit from enhancements, including HDR10, Variable Refresh Rate, and 4K Ultra HD. Even before the enhancements, however, the game proved itself as a visually stunning experience. Although, I can’t put it better than COGconnected’s own Ahmed Mohamed in his review:
“Don’t let the game’s low price trick you though because Hellblade is a high production title. The story of Senua’s Sacrifice will take the player through mythological Norse and Celtic worlds as they travel to their interpretation of Hell. Beautiful kaleidoscopes alter the saturation and hue of the colors in the world. The brilliant animations look straight out of a Naughty Dog game. The deep combat system can be seen as simplistic to those that don’t get the most out of it. Hellblade’s close camera angle while in combat makes for an intimate experience as the player fights droves of demons from the underworld.”
