Also, Kirby Star Allies Had the Best Debut in Terms of Sales for the Entire Series!
Burnout Paradise Remastered, the current gen remaster of one of the most popular Burnout titles ever, debuted at the top of the UK sales charts last week. According to GFK Chart-Track, the remaster claimed the top spot in its first week just like the original release did back in 2008.
Kirby Star Allies debuted at the 2nd spot and had the best launch in terms of sales for the entire Kirby series. Our review of the game awarded it a score of 85 out of 100 and our reviewer, Alex Everatt loved it. “If you’re a fan of Kirby games or looking for a solid side-scrolling platformer, then you really can’t go wrong with Kirby Star Allies,” Everatt wrote.
Other chart sales news: Grand Theft Auto V, a game that (by my own estimation) at least 99% of the world owns, is still selling strong! Last week, the open-world crime game landed at the #4 spot in the UK sales charts and Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds, the online multiplayer battle royale game, is in the top 10 at the #7 spot.
Speaking of GTA V, an edition of the game that comes packaged with four years worth of DLC content has been rumored to have a release date in April. Titled “Grand Theft Auto V: Premium Edition”, it was originally supposed to come out this month on the 23rd and, also according to the rumors, this edition of the game will eventually become the standard retail version of GTA V.
