Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Is Gearing up for Co-Op Slaughter This March

Warhammer and Survival Fans, Rejoice!

In less than a month from now, PC players will have access to the game that many consider being the Fantasy version of Left 4 Dead. Warhammer’s four-player co-op experience, Vermintide 2, just got a release date. Very soon, you shall relish the company of others as you slaughter rodents and the enemies of civilized races.

You can discover Warhammer: Vermintide 2 for PC on March 8th. If you’d like to get up to speed on the announcement stream, you can find the Twitch footage here. Developer Fatshark made the announcement during a live session labeled, “Date Night.”

Unlike before, this new installment will include the forces of Chaos. It will maintain that darkgrim atmosphere, thus stays true to the source material, but it will also push the boundaries with its new environments. This is to be a visually stunning game that fully immerses players with its environment, and it will improve upon the action gameplay we saw in the first game. New hordes, new weapons, and better graphics entail a promising adventure for Warhammer veterans and newcomers alike. And if you’re unprepared, you should at least prepare to get wrecked.

Being passionate fans of the Warhammer IP, we’ve always wanted to create a Warhammer sequel that both stayed true to the beautifully dark atmosphere of the world but also brought new ideas and experiences for players. It’s been years of work but onMarch 8th we look forward to joining forces with players everywhere to defend Helmgart from evil“. Said Martin Wahlund, CEO of Fatshark.”

While Warhammer: Vermintide 2 was also announced for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, we still don’t have a release date. However, expect one to be announced shortly. In the meantime, you can sign up for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One betas.

Happy gaming.
