Game Director of The Last of Us Part II Teases Possibility of a New Character
Yesterday we told you about a brand new and exciting rumor that may see the launch of The Last of Us Part II later this year. Though this hasn’t exactly been confirmed yet, Neil Druckmann has recently tweeted a picture that could suggest the introduction of a brand new character to the game.
Whether The Last of Us Part II is released later this year, or in 2019, it is apparent that the team at Naughty Dog is still working hard to develop one badass sequel. Yesterday, and maybe in celebration of the Lunar New Year, game director Neil Druckmann tweeted out a picture of a dog who may be the newest addition to the cast of characters. You can check this out below.

As you can see, the dog is wearing a motion capture suit, making it quite likely that it will be a brand new feature in the game. Although no further details have been given about what role the dog will play in The Last of Us Part II, this is a cool snippet of information nonetheless. With games like Fallout 4 and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain featuring animals as companions, it will be interesting to see if this is what Naughty Dog plans as well.
The Last of Us Part II is currently in development for both the PlayStation 4 and PS4 Pro. What do you think about this announcement from Neil Druckmann? Do you see this dog being an enemy or an ally? Let us know your thoughts in the comment below and keep it locked for updates!
