Anytime Is Jail-Break Time Now
Slowly but surely it’s becoming apparent that almost every game would be better if it were portable. Case in point: The Escapists 2 is now available on the Nintendo Switch. Now, your morning commute is the perfect chance to get a little jail-break action in. Or, while you’re actually at work! I won’t judge.
One of the features coming with the Switch version is local splitscreen multiplayer. You and a friend can team up and bust out of jail together, or you can work against one another, if you’re feeling competitive. There’s also four-player co-op and online multiplayer. You can even drop in on missions that are partway through being executed if you’re not up for planning out some intricate operation yourself.
In addition to the Nintendo Switch version, The Escapists 2 is also available on PC, Xbox One and PS4. Don’t let the adorable 2D graphics fool you, this is still a violent little romp through the world of incarceration. You can even craft weapons out of your available supplies, which means a lot of tiny prisoners shanking tiny prison guards. Check out the trailer below. There’s so many crafting options!
