Anamorphine Getting Slightly Delayed

Cello-Focused Art Takes Time To Perfect, You See

Anamorphine, the haunting cello-based game coming out for every major virtual reality platform, is getting pushed back. Whereas it was previously being released next week, the game is now coming out sometime late in the first quarter of 2018.

Anamorphine

If you haven’t heard of Anamorphine, the story focuses on Tyler and Elena’s struggles with different flavors of mental illness. After an accident takes away Elena’s ability to play the cello, she falls into a deep depression. Tyler succumbs to a different variety of psychosis, one involving hallucinations and visions tied to some painful memories. The whole story is played out without dialogue, relying on powerful music and visuals to communicate the narrative.

When the game does come out, it will be released for HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, PSVR, PS4 and PC. If there was ever a proper vehicle for virtual reality, it would be haunting and cerebral game experiences like Anamorphine. For a better look at what exactly this game is all about, let’s take a look at the trailer! Of course, there’s a serious focus on the cello throughout the trailer. Indeed, it would be a bit shocking if any other instrument got the spotlight at any point in the game.
