Pretty Game Is About to Get Even Prettier
Destiny 2 is the latest game to receive 4K visual benefits on the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro. In a blog post, Bungie has announced that an update will be arriving on December 5th for both consoles.
The higher fidelity patch will deliver high dynamic range (HDR) lighting and support for 4K TV’s. The PS4 Pro version will have an adaptive 4K resolution while the Xbox One X will offer 4K resolution. We’re not sure if this means the Xbox One version supports native 4K or if it means it stays at 4K more consistently. There is no word on a frame rate boost like on the PC version but we’re going to assume the 30 fps lock will remain on consoles. December 5th is also the launch date for Destiny 2’s first expansion, Curse of Osiris, and the start of Season Two.
Bungie also announced the first Clarion Call, a Double XP weekend starting November 17th. The bonuses only apply to those in clans so Bungie urges those who aren’t in one to join one as soon as they can. The event will run from 10 AM PST on November 17 to 10 AM PST on November 20th. Bungie says that future Clarion Calls won’t require you to play in a clan.
