Switch Getting That Third-Party Loving
Some great news that’ll embolden the Switch fanbase as Bandai Namco has revealed during a financial briefing that it is busy developing three big Switch-exclusives scheduled for a spring to summer 2018 release.
Company president Mitsuaki Taguchi said that the company is adding more resources in developing games for Switch. “We have put out three games on the Switch so far and all of them are doing well,” Taguchi said. “It’s a shame, but we didn’t think the Switch [would] be accept[ed] this fast.”
It’s unknown what these three titles are at the moment, but it’s another showing that Nintendo is getting solid third-party support here. With Square Enix putting Project Octopath Traveller for Switch, it’s cool to see that Nintendo’s new console will not repeat the Wii U’s dearth of third-party support.
We’ll keep you posted when Bandai Namco reveals the identity of these three Switch titles.
