E3 Will Sport a Brand New Logo in 2018

And it Is So Much Better!

After more than 20 years, the E3 logo is finally getting an update. Next year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo will also be the first year to sport the brand new logo.

new E3 logo

Compared to the old logo, the new one is so much better and is now finally aligned with modern logo design. Most importantly, it doesn’t feel like a relic of a logo anymore. The Entertainment Software Association (ESA), which has organised E3 every year since 1995, said the logo has a “familiar color scheme, but the design is updated for sharper performance on modern digital applications.”

The dates for next year’s E3 is set for June 12th to June 14th, 2018 and will be held in the usual Los Angelas Convention Center. It will remain at the LACC up until 2019, at which point negotiations will take place for where E3 will be in 2020. The ESA is estimating an increase in numbers in 2018 over E3 2017 for the number of exhibitors and games on show. There were more than 300 exhibitors last year that showed off 2,000 games.

Last year saw a spike in attendees thanks in part to it being open to the public for the first time ever.

The new logo has already been updated on the E3 website and its Twitter. Will you be attending next year? Leave us a comment below and tell us your thoughts on the logo.
