A Classic Map Returns to the Classic Franchise
Activision is enticing players with additional content available at launch, and it’s coming in the form of a classic. Call of Duty WWII is getting the Carentan multiplayer map, and it will be available for Season Pass holders.
Carentan represents the site of another intense WW2 battle between Americans and Germans. The location was prevalent in previous installments, including the original Call of Duty, Call of Duty: United Offensive, and Call of Duty 2. Moreover, the scene was reimagined in the Band of Brothers film series produced by Steven Spielberg.
In Carentan, players will fight across the destroyed buildings and fortified roads of a French town. This stronghold held by the Germans will differ from previous versions, aside from utilizing much better visuals. So far, it’s unclear which mode the map will be in.
Naturally, Call of Duty WWII’s Season Pass will include loads of content distributed throughout 2018, and it is available now in the PS4 Digital Deluxe Edition. A total of four DLC packs will be released. However, the Season Pass will not encompass content beyond those future releases. That said, we are still a ways off.
Call of Duty WWII arrives for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 3rd, and it will include graphical enhancements for upgraded consoles like the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. Check back for further updates as we near release.
