To Celebrate The Last of Usโ Annual Outbreak Day
Naughty Dog is commemorating the fourth anniversary of The Last of Us seriesโ Outbreak Day with a new poster and a new PS4 Dynamic theme. September 26th is an important date in TLOUโs lore as itโs the day where Cordyceps Brain Infection reached critical mass in 2013 and crippled the world. Fun fact: Joelโs birthday also falls on this day which probably makes cashing in that free Dennyโs meal a lot more awkward.
Regarding the new poster seen above, Naughty Dogโs Scott Lowe writes on the companyโs site that the poster is a second TLOU collaboration with artists Kevin Tong and Mondo. โTo ensure everyone has a chance to buy one, Mondo is making the Outbreak Day 2017 poster a timed-edition release. Beginning today at 10:00am PT until Friday, September 29 at 10:00am PT, anyone can pick one up via MondoTees.com without fear of it selling out, but after that, itโs gone. Donโt miss it!โ Besides that, Lowe mentions that thereโll be new TLOU merch in the form of a shirt which has the sequelโs logo on a black shirt.
Need to make your PS4 gloomier? Naughty Dogโs got you:
The PS4 Dyanmic theme draws inspiration from the sequelโs reveal trailer at PSX. Itโs slightly boring, if Iโm totally honest, and will likely not replace my Final Fantasy IX PS4 theme which is all kinds of awesome. Check out PSN now for some other TLOU sales which includes a 50% sale on the remastered original.
