Call of Duty: WWII Has Removed Negative Criticism From Past Titles
Last week we told you that the dislikes for the reveal trailer for Call of Duty: WWII were way down from that of recent titles, and today Eric Hirshberg, Activision CEO, discussed how fans have received the newest game in the Call of Duty franchise during the quarterly conference call for investors and analysts earlier today!
It has been confirmed that the game reveal for Call of Duty: WWII has become the most liked video in Call of Duty history and has the most views of any reveal trailer for a Call of Duty game ever! Eric Hirshberg discussed the reception of the newest game across social media, saying that it was equally as important to see minimal negativity towards the franchise, as it was to see a very positive response as well. Hirshberg stated that the negativity on social media has essentially evaporated with this new title reveal, to 0.2 percent!
Mr. Hirshberg also discussed WWII, explaining that it is a great game, at the right time, and that the community has been wanting to get back to a more traditional “boots on the ground” game style. With that being said, he stated that the developers are going to bring some “real innovations” to the new Call of Duty title, which are designed to keep the game fresh and exciting for everyone.
These innovations will be revealed at E3, at the time when there will be hands-on sessions with multiplayer! This would appear that Activision is confident in what they will be showing off. On top of this already exciting news, Hirshberg mentioned that gamers will be excited for what the company has to offer over the years to come.
Call of Duty: WWII will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on November 3rd, 2017. Keep it locked for updates as they become available!
