It has been a long-time coming, but we’re finally getting our next game from Arkane Studios. Bethesda and ZeniMax are happy to announce that Prey, the dark sci-fi shooter, is available now for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
Thanks to the element of choice, Prey is unlike many first-person shooters. Arkane has developed the game in such a way that lets players play how they choose. This means you can be a morale or twisted character–twisted in personality as well as abilities. Player progression opens opportunities for new powers. If you want more than skills, then you may have to become more (or less) than human.
On top of unique player abilities, Prey also offers alternative ways to get through levels. You’ll learn more about this as our review gets underway, but for now, know that in-game weaponry can also be used as tools. The reverse is true as well. There are multiple ways to reach objectives, and each can affect the game’s ending.
So now’s the chance to hop aboard Talos 1 and stop the Typhon aliens from eliminating everyone on board, including yourself. How you go about killing them is up to you, as there are various ways. But remember, each class of Typhon has their own tricks. If you’re not careful, you can perish via multiple methods. See what awaits in Prey.
