Naughty Dog, as Usual, Has Some Treats in Store
We’ve been eagerly awaiting more news for Uncharted The Lost Legacy, Naughty Dog’s standalone spin-off to what is widely considered 2016’s best game. Well, today they announced that The Lost Legacy is coming to PlayStation 4 on August 22nd.
Naughty Dog was excited to bring the news for The Lost Legacy and has been hard at work since before Uncharted 4’s release. They made their reveal at last year’s PSX, showcasing our new protagonist Chloe Frazer–returning femme fatale from Uncharted 2. Paired up with by-the-book mercenary Nadine Ross, players will embark upon a new journey to find the Tusk of Ganesh.
Finding a new relic entails a new adventure and absolutely no rehash of previous titles. Developers have even clarified that playing as a new character means new methods of engaging enemies and overcoming obstacles. And there will be plenty of new obstacles stemming from new environments.
Further augmenting our excitement levels, Naughty Dog coupled their announcement with a new cinematic trailer. Watch the scenario down below:
Uncharted The Lost Legacy will arrive for the price of $39.99. Anyone eagerly seeking another adventure after the last can take advantage of this moderate value. Moreover, Naughty Dog brought up the return of their legacy title Jak and Daxter. Anyone who preorders Uncharted The Lost Legacy at participating retailers shall receive a copy of Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy for PS4. Unfortunately, this bonus does not apply to gamers who purchased Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Digital Deluxe Edition, Explorer’s Pack, or the Triple Pack, all of which already include the standalone title. But, if you do not own a PS4 yet, Amazon still offers the $249.99 PS4 Slim Bundle that includes Uncharted 4. Adding The Lost Legacy will still equate to less than $300 retail, FYI.
