Randy Pitchford Totally Calls out Call of Duty WWII Art for Ripping off Brothers in Arms – Shows Side-By-Side Comparison
Sledgehammer Games is going full-force with development for the next installment in the Call of Duty franchise, Call of Duty WWII, and according to the studio, we’ll be getting a complete reveal next week. Amidst all the hype over the upcoming game, there have also been mixed emotions about a variety of issues, mostly concerning the direction of the game’s storyline heading back to WWII, but another highly scandalous topic is that of the Call of Duty WWII art.
Another controversial topic flared up about the game when Gearbox Software president Randy Pitchford wasn’t afraid to call out a striking similarity between the Call of Duty WWII box art and the official art from Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway. As you can see in his Tweet, where he strategically placed a side-by-side comparison of the two together, the art for the two games bares an uncanny resemblance.
I’ll just leave this right here. pic.twitter.com/Id29bfTaU7

Both games take place in a World War II setting, and both games just-so-happen to look almost exactly alike. You can even play a fun meta-game of “spot the similarities” between the two if you’d like.
A complete rip-off? You can decide that for yourself, but the following image of the Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway promotional compared to the official box art of Call of Duty just might be too uncanny to be a complete coincidence.
Another note that’s a bit strange, but worth pointing out, is that this will be the first Call of Duty game to take place during WWII since Call of Duty: World at War in 2008, which is also the same year that Brothers in Arms released.
We’ll be able to see more differences and similarities between the two WWII games during the Call of Duty WWII reveal on April 26th at 10am PDT.
