Bioware Details What To Expect With Their Upcoming Andromeda Patch

Delivering on their recent promises to address some of their fans’ concerns, Bioware recently released info about their upcoming Mass Effect: Andromeda Patch. The patch is due out this coming Thursday, and starts out fixing some visual issues and hints at more issues the team may address in the future.

Mass Effect Andromeda heroThe announcement came via Bioware’s general manager Aaryn Flynn, on the main page. We have a few of the patches here, but you can also find the full list on the site for Mass Effect: Andromeda’s Patch 1.05 Notes. The tweaks coming out this Thursday include the following:

  • Allowing you to skip ahead when travelling between planets in the galaxy map
  • Increasing the inventory limits
  • Improving the appearance of eyes for humans and asari characters
  • Decreasing the cost of Remnant decryption keys and making them more accessible at merchants
  • Improving localized voice over lip sync
  • Fixing Ryder’s movements when running in a zig zag pattern
  • Improving matchmaking and latency in multiplayer

In addition to the upcoming Mass Effect: Andromeda Patch, Bioware hints in their announcement of further fixes they will be releasing in the next few months. They are hoping to fix up some of the performance and stability issues and also add more cosmetic items and features to the single player mode. These include:

  • More options and variety in the character creator
  • Improvements to hair and general appearance for characters
  • Ongoing improvements to cinematic scenes and animations
  • Improvements to male romance options for Scott Ryder
  • Adjustments to conversations with Hainly Abrams

There will also be improvements added to the Apex multiplayer mode. Players will be getting new maps, characters, and weapons and Thursday will see the launch of three new chapters centered around The Remnant Investigation. So we will see how the game plays after this Thursday, however it is good to see that Bioware is responsive to their fans.
