We Also Witness the Return of Some Very Special Characters
Finally, Thor’s third installment receives a trailer, and it may be a bit more than people expected. Sundry movies later, we’re getting a different kind of quest for the God of Thunder. That means more than Asgard, or the other eight realms, for that matter. See where the Avenger’s new path takes him in the Thor Ragnarok trailer released today:
That was Jeff Goldblum. A lot of movies have been leading up to this point, specifically previous iterations and Avengers: Age of Ultron. Furthermore, this is the first time Marvel has utilized the Hulk outside an Avengers Movie, and we say that because they never talk about the standalone The Incredible Hulk with Edward Norton. More importantly, this film appears as if it shall pay homage to Marvel Comics’ Planet Hulk.
Whereas Planet Hulk has our favorite green anger management case launched into space by the Avengers, we imagine Marvel invented a wholly different scenario for this new planet in Thor Ragnarok. Since this is the first trailer, we are left with plenty of questions that will undoubtedly be answered in the movie or proceeding trailers. All we know (and all we need to know) is that Thor are and Hulk are together in the same world.
And in case you missed it, Loki is also present in this story. We’ll see whether he remains an anti-hero, turns good, or resorts to full-blown evil. The outcome is rather difficult to predict, where he’s concerned.
Earlier this year, Marvel and Square Enix announced a collaboration to create new IPs with our favorite Marvel heroes.
