A New Take on Zombies and More Killing Fields in Infinite Warfare
From Activision and Infinity Ward comes the new, diverse map pack for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare – Continuum. The DLC includes a load of content for multiplayer, pitting players in diverse locations that include a returning map and a new theme.
Among the new maps reaching Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is Excess – A reimagined version of Modern Warfare 2’s Rust. Take that and three more maps adding substantial variety to the PvP experience. They shall arrive as follows:
- Turista – A plush spa and resort, Turista is nestled in the middle of a giant skeleton of an ancient creature. With sniper spots scattered across a majestic, central waterfall, Turista also boasts tight interiors for fans of close-quartered combat and a three-lane design that caters to a variety of play styles.
- Scrap – Set in an abandoned junkyard on the Moon, Scrap features a combination of extended sightlines and tactical pathways that reward players who engage in both long and short range combat.
- Archive – Fast, frenetic engagements set the pace in Archive, a post-futurist art gallery where tight engagements contrast with open exterior battlegrounds in this wide three-lane style map.
- Excess – Perched atop a gilded penthouse in a sprawling future metropolis, Excess is a small, circular map re-imagined from the classic Modern Warfare 2 map, Rust, that retains the intense, fast-paced combat from the original.
But that’s not all. Every additional Call of Duty experience must come with a side of zombies. Which is why Call of Duty: Infinite War is also adding the new gauntlet Shaolin Shuffle. Set in 1970s New York, mysterious movie director Willard Wyler makes a return for the sole purpose of wreaking undead havoc. His return means our same characters trapped inside another horror movie. Play as one of four voiced characters: “the Punk Rocker”  by Seth Green (Robot Chicken, Austin Powers), “the Sleazebag” by Ike Barinholtz (Neighbors, Suicide Squad), “the Street Poet” by Jay Pharoah (Saturday Night Live, Ride Along), and “the Disco Chick” by Sasheer Zamata (Saturday Night Live, Inside Amy Schumer). And yes, the atmosphere is suffused with a classic disco aesthetic. Moreover, play to unlock the new kung fu fighting styles, each with a unique set of moves for extra entertainment.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Continuum is part of the Season Pass which is available for $49.99. Players who purchased Legacy Pro or Deluxe Edition will already have access. Alternatively, the DLC can be bought separately for $15. It is one of four that make a total of $60.00 when purchased alone.
Expect to see the Continuum DLC on April 18 for PlayStation 4, with other systems to be announced at a later date. Before then, feel free to drop a comment down below letting us know your thoughts on the content and/or other DLC packs. Happy gaming.
