Kevin Bruner’s Position Going to Former Telltale CEO
Telltale’s boss has announced his departure from the company. Kevin Bruner has held the position of CEO since January 2015, before which it belonged to Dan Connors. With Bruner moving on, Connors will resume his former position with the company.
The departure was announced this week through a memo. Telltale reported that the transition from one leader to the other should be a smooth one. A representative from Telltale said they were “fortunate to have Dan” around to resume his duties as head of the company.
Bruner’s official statement referred to Telltale as having “many possible futures” from this point forward. He expressed the need to “pass the reins” to someone better able to “realize all the potential” Telltale has at this point. Bruner will serve on Telltale’s board of directors, at least for the transition phase. Beyond this step, his future involvement with the company is unclear. It remains to be seen whether such a sudden shift in leadership will have any impact on the future of Telltale Games.
