At this point, this generation’s Battlefront games are rebooting the original franchise while simply retaining the names. However, EA has previously said that the sequel will be bigger and with a single-player campaign. We are hoping this iteration also expands on the experience by reintroducing the Clone Wars. Earlier in the year, executives mentioned that the new title would visit other wars in the Star Wars universe. So there is hope.

Additionally, we know that Electronic Arts has three development studios currently working on the project. Those studios include DICE, Criterion and Motive, and members of each shall be present during Star Wars Celebration 2017. It is during the presentation that we shall witness our first footage for Star Wars Battlefront 2; whether it will be in-game footage or not has yet to be confirmed.

See the premiere of Star Wars Battlefront 2 on April 15, Saturday, at 2:30 PM ET or 14:30 hours ET; Star Wars Celebration, however, kicks off earlier on April 13. Anyone not present at the fan festivities will certainly be able to stream it online. 4 days afterward, tickets will go on sale for the EA Play Event.
