More Worthwhile Details on Bungie’s Destiny 2
A few days have passed since Bungie officially confirmed the development of Destiny 2, an announcement long-time coming. Our latest news confirms the recently leaked release date and more. Destiny 2 arrives for PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on September 8th. Moreover, Bungie has revealed their Expansion Pass and pre-order bonuses.
Information-gathering was a bit sketchy at first, but after checking in with the PlayStation Store here’s what we learned: Anyone who pre-orders Destiny 2 receives exclusive beta early access; standard edition is available at standard pricing – $59.99. The store also revealed how the game is priced with the Expansion Pass. $89.99 will grant players the base game and all paid DLC that follows. Keep in mind, these are DLC within the foreseeable future and may not include DLC within a broader time scale. For example, The Taken King did not arrive with the original Destiny’s Season Pass.

The Destiny 2 Expansion Pass grants access to both Expansion I and Expansion II, offering brand new story missions, cooperative activities, competitive multiplayer, and a wealth of new weapons, armor, and gear.
Digital Deluxe Edtion, which costs $99.99, includes all of the above plus the following in-game bonuses:
- Legendary Sword
- Legendary Player Emote
- Cabal Empire Themed Emblem

From what we gather, Destiny 2 will continue the trend of multiplayer segregation; take that as you will. Despite all the details, we don’t yet have a grasp on the base game’s content.
