Get a First Look at Destiny 2 in the New Teaser Trailer Now
Recently there has been much speculation about a sequel to Destiny, and yesterday this was confirmed! Since we’ve already seen leaked promo art for Destiny 2, as well as an announcement picture on Twitter, Xbox must have thought it was time to show us all a teaser trailer to follow these up.
The trailer is called “Last Call” and features Cayde-6, Nathan Fillion, telling a story over a glass of space alcohol. He recalls a battle from the inside of this bar, which we later find out has been destroyed. While the trailer does not hold any specific details about Destiny 2, a full trailer was announced at the end of the teaser. The full trailer will be unveiled  this Thursday, March 30th, at 10am PST/ 1pm EST.
While not many details have been confirmed, the release date for the game is rumoured to be September 8th, as the leaked promo illustrated, and the game is set to release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Activision had previously confirmed that Destiny 2 will be released sometime in the fall. On top of this, a PlayStation-specific version of the trailer revealed that content will be available to PS4 players first. It will be interested to see what else Bungie and Activision decide to unveil in the coming days, as they continue their slow roll out of the full Destiny 2 reveal.
While we have now received a teaser trailer for the game, we are still without screenshots or gameplay footage for Destiny 2, making it difficult to speculate on what differences might be found in this sequel. Activision has also stated that Destiny 2 hopes to broaden the franchise’s appeal, and there will be no transferring of items or experience from Destiny.
