Amazon’s Pre-Orders for the Collectors Edition Sold Out in Less than an Hour
After days and days of leaks, rumours and wild speculation, Destiny 2 is here! Apparently the hype train is chugging along at full steam, based on the rabid response towards the collectors edition.
Amazon has sold out of this super-hot item on all three platforms. Listings are already up on eBay to the tune of $700. Anyone looking to get their hands on the Destiny 2 Collector’s Edition is going to have to act very fast. At the time this is being written, ebgames (or GameStop in the US) is also sold out, with other retailers not yet listing it as available.
This immediate and total drought isn’t spilling over to the standard version, thankfully. Anyone simply looking to play the game when it’s released should have no problem doing so. After all, the you’ll likely get more use out of the in-game loot than the stuff that comes with the collector’s version. That frontier bag is nice, but it’s not seven hundred dollars nice.
