Newest Trailer for Breath of the Wild Shows Off Combat, Exploration and Story Elements
Nintendo has released new footage of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
The video can be found on the official Japanese site here. It’s a tantalizing look at some of the game’s combat and story beats, much of it captured in the newly announced Pro HUD mode. Between that and the cut-scene footage, Breath of the Wild is looking more cinematic than any of its predecessors.
The video shows off the usual highlights. There are plenty of shots of Zelda looking super sad, while Link wears his extra determined face. There’s wildlife being turned into steaks. Link showing off his amazing tree-chopping skills. The combat still looks excellent, with explosive arrows making an appearance. For extra cinematic flavour, there are some slow-motion moves. All told, the trailer does an admirable job of making March 3rd feel several decades away.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is out on March 3rd for the Wii U and the Nintendo Switch. We’ll keep bringing you all the relevant news as it drops.
