League of Legends Superstar Faker Broke Twitch Viewer Record On First Livestream
South Korean professional gamer Lee Sang-hyeok, better known as Faker, has proceeded to shatter a record on his first official livestream ever on Twitch.
The three time League of Legends World Championship winner went live for the first time a day ago, and his stream peaked at a massive 245 000 concurrent viewers within the first hour alone, the highest count for an individual stream on Twitch.

Faker is regarded as one of the best League of Legends players in the world, and having that reputation in an extraordinarily popular game certainly helps explain his record-breaking first livestream. He is one of two players to win the League of Legends World Championship three times (2013, 2015, and 2016) and has won $896,596 in prize money.
Faker’s day one stream included a live English translator for his audience, and you can catch up on the stream yourself here.
