Koei Tecmo Releases a Free DLC as Nioh Passes 1 Million Sales

Oooo shiny DLC!

Nioh was released earlier in February, and apparently it is doing really well! So well in fact, that it was announced the game’s total sales has recently surpassed 1 million. An impressive milestone, and not bad for a game out less then a full month.

As a present to the players, Koei Tecmo will be giving away a new set of armor in a special patch (version 1.04 ) released today on February 24th. The armor is called “The Golden Nioh Armor” and is both stylish as well as blinged out. Check it out!

In addition to your new defensive gold plate, Koei Tecmo is also extending their “Early-Purchase Campaign” until March 1st. If you buy the game before this date, you will get another set of armor. This armor is called the “Crimson Master Armor” and is inspired by famous samurai Yukimura Sanada. Yukimura was said to be “a hero who may appear once in a hundred years” or (my favorite) “The Crimson Demon of War”.

NiohOur team here at COGconnected did a video review for Nioh earlier this month and you can check out below. The game ultimately scored a solid 95, as overall it is a fun engaging play. If you have yet to play it yourself, keep in mind the game will be getting some upgrades in the next few months. This includes some high-difficulty missions in March and PvP in April.
