Civilization VI New Update Australian Summer Now Live

Newest Update for Sid Meier’s Civilization VI Brings a New Leader, Mod Support, and Better Multiplayer Functionality  to an Already Stellar Game

Sid Meier’s Civilization VI is the latest installment in the Civilization series which was released just a few months ago in October of 2016. Today, fans of the turn-based strategic domination game get a shiny new update which brings a new hero and faction to the game: John Curtin and his Australian forces.

Civilization 6 John Curtin

Introducing a new faction into Civilization VI is kind of a big deal as the game is already incredibly replayable with it’s 20+ unique playable leaders and factions. It’s not quite as game-changing as say, introducing a new playable race to a game like Starcraft 2, but adding a new leader that has his own unique competitive advantages is kind of like Overwatch adding a new hero to their roster. The leader, “John Curtin was the 14th Prime Minister of Australia, serving from 1941 to 1945. He held office while the country was under direct threat of Japanese attack during World War II. He proved more than capable for the job through his landmark legislations, which greater unified the many states of Australia and assisted in its reconstruction following the war.” 2K and Firaxis Games released John Curtin as part of the Australian Summer 2017 Update. In addition to all the new strategies now available through the new leader in this update, there will also be a new scenario called “Outback Tycoon,” further adding to the impressive list of gameplay modes. This update also comes with improved multiplayer team building functionality, as well as Steam Workshop modding tools and support.
