Nintendo Confirms That You Can Indeed Change the Nintendo Switch Battery, but Not Without a Fee
Those in fear of losing their Switch forever if something happens with their battery were reassured by Nintendo that the Nintendo Switch battery can indeed be replaced, but not without an additional cost. Switch gamers experiencing battery issues will be able to get a paid replacement battery, which has been confirmed to last 2-6 hours per charge. While no monetary amount has been stated for the battery replacement fees, at least we know that if anything happens, we can always send it in for repair.
An update to Nintendo’s website states – “the internal battery cannot be removed. If the battery needs to be replaced, we plan to offer paid replacement via Nintendo Customer Support.”
The new Nintendo console will be launching March 3rd.
