And Makes Plans for Ark: Survival Evolved to Appear on the Scorpio
Studio Wildcardโs popular game, Ark: Survival Evolved, is open to expansion, and the devs are looking into more creative content. Apparently, that also means the game will see support for Microsoftโs Project Scorpio. While some developers await more news for the Scorpio, Wildcard co-founder Jeremy Stieglitz commented on its potential:
โIt looks plenty powerful enough (for VR) to support it and have it look really good, itโs just a matter of getting our hands on the console and seeing what we can achieve with it.
Right now, Studio Wildcard is one of the most โcall and responseโ developers, in that they prolifically respond to feedback. In many ways, they are building the game alongside their fans. This is especially the case ever since they added mod support for the PC. Thus, because they are still building, they are looking into all their options for a better game. And right now, Scorpio is showing promise:
โFor us weโre still very experimental with Virtual Reality in ARK,โ Stieglitz continued. โI do not think the VR support we have now is anywhere near the final implementation.
โItโs quite basic and is something us to gather feedback to help us work out what to do with it. Itโs there for the Oculus Rift and weโre hoping to do something a little different with the Vive.โ
โAnd whatever Microsoft are doing with The Scorpio is a little further out but itโs definitely going to be on our radar when we get a development unit to start working with.โ
Ark: Survival Evolved is available for PC and consoles; Players can expect more content for the foreseeable future. Scorpio is set for release during the 2017 holidays, with a big showing expected at this yearโs E3. So on the road to E3 and onward, be sure to keep updated with COGconnected. Happy gaming.
