Husk Announced: Release Date Set For New Horror Thriller Game

IMGN.PRO and Undead Scout Announce Release Date of Their New Horror Game, Husk, on PC.

For those of you who enjoy a good thriller, the new upcoming title Husk is right up your alley. Husk will release worldwide on February 3, 2017, and will be available for PCs.

The title is the debut release from studio Undead Scout and a collaboration with IMGN.PRO. As a special treat for the announcement a new trailer was released called “There is No Place Like Home”.

Like all good trailers for thriller and horror games, we are not given much info about what the actual objective is. We see a protagonist loading a gun, haunting scenery, and an ominous narration. We hear the narration mentioning a past traumatic event of domestic abuse, which will likely feature prominently in the plot. Łukasz Noculak, a game developer for Undead Studios, outlines a bit of the team’s motivation.

“Drawing on the elements of oneiric horror, in Husk, we strive to touch upon real and often very painful problems. I’d rather not reveal any more details right now –you’ll soon be able to discover them on your own!”

The game is inspired by other classic thriller titles Silent Hill and Alan Wake and features combat and riddles that the players must solve. In addition, the game’s soundtrack was composed by Arkadiusz Reikowski, who also worked on the haunting soundtrack for Kholat (another thriller from IMGN.PRO).

The developers invite players to learn more about the game at http://www.welcometoshivercliff.com/ and use the game website to provide some additional information. It will also introduce you to the game’s setting of Shiver Cliff. What a wonderful name. Just brings to mind warm fuzzy images.
