Everything We Could Want for Fire Emblem, with a Total of Four New Games
To think, we were already excited by the Nintendo Switch Presentation and their list of Fire Emblem games. Now Nintendo is happy to announce a cadre of titles coming to Nintendo 3DS, mobile, and the Nintendo Switch. Only one will be a mainline Switch release and it will be the first console-only release since Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn on Wii. You can learn all there is to know from the streamed earlier today. Big news for many titles this time around. It’s a good time to be a Fire Emblem fan. So let’s do a recap:
- Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia – A game that expands Nintendo’s Fire Emblem Gaiden with some innovation to series gameplay. Coming May 19, 2017
- Two New amiibo released alongside FIre Emblem Echoes.
- Fire Emblem Mainline title – This is a Fire Emblem copy reserved for Nintendo Switch, implying that it will be the most high quality release. Moreover, it may serve the first Fire Emblem to utilize features like HD Rumble. We’ll have to wait until 2018 to see.
- Fire Emblem Warriors – From the creators of Hyrule Warriors, fans of the Warriors series, Fire Emblem, or even the last Zelda game can enjoy the mash of hack and slash in conjunction with Fire Emblem lore. See it around Fall, 2017.
- Fire Emblem Heroes – A rpg released exclusively for mobile. Play as your favorite Fire Emblem characters on your phone, moving kawaii versions of them to battle. An extensive roster gives you access to many characters for grid-based strategy. Coming February 2nd.
And there you have it Fire Emblem fans. We knew Nintendo had something lined up, but now we have a bit of a road map. You know when to expect them and can prepare accordingly. Whether its phone, 3DS, or console, everyone will have access.
